This dresser was a pain in the butt, but totally worth all the time.
I had to redo the strips 3 times I think, because they kept bleeding under the tape...and yes I used the "extraordinary" frog tape lol. But I think the problem was that I used spray paint as the base.
To get them so straight and crisp. I had to paint it all white....use the lighter color first....then tape it off, then paint white over it again to seal any holes, then the black. And it came out great.
It's funny, because usually the dresser part is done and its the drawers that I am having issues with, or the handles. But with this one he handles and drawers had been spray painted and clear coated for almost two weeks before I finished the actual dresser.
My favorite part was doing the stencil on top! I have truly come to love stencils. I want to stencil everything and pretty much have lol. Including my dads kitchen cabinets, which I probably shouldn't have started till after this antique craft fair that I am doing in Topanga, because now there are two doors done and that's it. And after finishing the black and white secretary desk I really want to paint parts of the top white but that will take even longer. Ugh!
Anyway here is the beautiful bright outcome of the "Keep Calm" dresser.
